The teacher
“I have been teaching for over 20 years now, and whether singing is your hobby or your profession, I’m here to help you define and reach your goals.”
Forbsey started voice lessons at 8 years old and has since studied with 13 vocal teachers around the globe. “Some teachers took a long time to get to the good information, if at all, and some were amazing. If it takes too long to see results, students get frustrated and give up. It shouldn’t be this way.”
She has coached some of the Idols, worked with acts from EMI, Warner Music and Sony BMG, and is currently working with a Disney child star preparing to cut his first tracks. Her aim is to nurture the individuality of every voice, with lessons tailored to each student’s goals, abilities, dreams and plans, and to make the process feel good, not terrifying. She has taught master classes in Australia, England, New Zealand and Los Angeles. Problem voices are her specialty.
The vocalist
Forbsey sang her first radio commercial at age 11 and soon became one of the youngest session singers on the professional recording circuit.
An accomplished singer-songwriter, she recorded her last album (Sony / Mushroom) in London, has a gold record under her belt, and is regularly heard on radio and TV commercials for brands like Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Kleenex and Kellogg’s.
She has toured with Joe Cocker and Take That (UK), and featured on the female compilation album All The Song Birds alongside Aretha Franklin, k.d. lang, Carly Simon, The Corrs and Olivia Newton-John.
