Forbsey sang her first radio commercial at age 11 and soon became one of the youngest session singers on the professional recording circuit. Forbsey is an accomplished singer and songwriter, and she recorded her last album via Sony/Mushroom in London. Forbsey has a gold record under her belt and is regularly heard on radio and TV commercials such as Coca-Cola, Mcdonald's, Kleenex, and Kellogg's, just to name a few.
She made her debut collaborating on a movie soundtrack, sharing credits with Crowded House, The Proclaimers, and David Bowie. She has toured with Joe Cocker and Take That (UK) and was featured on a female compilation album, 'All The Song Birds' alongside Aretha Franklin, KD Lang, Carly Simon, The Corrs, and Olivia Newton John.
Forbsey has coached some of the contestants from The Voice, The X-Factor, and Idol and has worked with acts from EMI, Warner Music, Sony, and BMG. She is currently working with a child star from Disney, who is preparing to cut his first tracks. Her aim is to nurture the individuality of each voice, and all lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, abilities, dreams and plans…. Part of her philosophy is to make sure every artist feels confident, and not terrified while going through the process. To date, Forbsey has taught master classes in Australia, England, New Zealand and Los Angeles.
“I have been teaching for over 20 years now and whether singing is your hobby or your profession, I’m here to help you define and reach your goals.”
Forbsey started taking voice lessons when she was 8 years old, and to date has personally studied with 13 vocal teachers worldwide. "If it takes too long to see results, students get frustrated and just give up; it shouldn’t be that way. I’ve taken the ‘cream’ from years of study, and my method achieves rapid results."
I offer private lessons, by appointment only.
